Racing Built by Runners, for Runners
Upstate Race Series has been timing and organizing races across the Upstate since 2013. This isn't a corporate operator, it's a team of runners who happen to run races professionally.
Certified timing, live results, and a registration process built on RunSignup, one of the most trusted platforms in the sport.
Every race connects back to the Upstate Running Club and the Giving Series, so your registration supports more than just your own finish line. Local business? These races are made possible in part by community sponsors.

For more than 13 years, Matt Hammersmith and his family have been hosting races across the Upstate. While Matt handles much of the behind-the-scenes work, race day is truly a family effort. Together, they're the first boots on the ground—covering every mile, checking every turn, and ensuring the course leads runners safely to the finish line. When you register for an Upstate Race Series event, you're joining something built and cared for by a local running family.
